Driving Directions to 7 Lakes Wilderness Camp
Directions from Buffalo / Toronto
Cross the border into Ontario and take the Q.E.W towards Toronto. Go past Hamilton and over the Burlington Bridge and then it curves east. Follow Q.E.W past Burlington to Oakville. Just past Oakville take Hwy 403 east/north to Hwy 401. Take Hwy 401 to Hwy 400 North (to Barrie). Follow Hwy 400 just north of Barrie and the 400 ends and it spits into Hwy 11 and Hwy 69. Take Hwy 11. Follow Hwy 11 all the way to North Bay. When you get to North Bay, there is a little jog through part of the city. Just follow the Highway 11 signs. Then drive north all the way to Cochrane. Hwy 11 turns west at Cochrane. Follow Hwy 11 West all the way to Longlac. Drive about 15 minutes past Longlac and you will see a sign for Hwy 584 North to Geraldton. Drive through Geraldton and 40 minutes north is Nakina. As you drive into Nakina, you will stop at a stop sign. Go straight one block and turn left on Quebec Street (someone keeps stealing the Quebec Street sign so look for the airport sign and follow). Drive about 2 miles to Cordingley Lake. You will drive past the airport, which has a landing strip. Go to Cordingley Lake where there are multiple floatplane bases. Pull into Nakina Air Service where the exciting Ontario fly-in fishing trip begins.
Directions from Sault Ste. Marie
Cross the border and take Hwy 17 (Trans Canada Highway) north to Wawa. Go past Wawa to White River. Take Hwy 631 north to Hwy 11. Turn west on Hwy 11 and drive all the way to Longlac. Drive about 15 minutes past Longlac and you will see a sign for Hwy 584 North to Geraldton. Drive through Geraldton and 40 minutes north is Nakina. As you drive into Nakina, you will stop at a stop sign. Go straight one block and turn left on Quebec Street (someone keeps stealing the Quebec Street sign so look for the airport sign and follow). Drive about 2 miles to Cordingley Lake. You will drive past the airport, which has a landing strip. Go to Cordingley Lake where there are multiple floatplane bases. Pull into Nakina Air Service as they fly you out to the outpost. 8 hours drive.
Directions from Grand Portage or International Falls
From Grand Portage cross the border and take Hwy 61 to Thunder Bay.
From International Falls, take Hwy 11 to Thunder Bay.
From Thunder Bay, take Hwy 17/11 to Nipigon. Just past Nipigon take Hwy 11 North. About 45 minutes after you go through the town of Jellicoe, you will see a sign for Hwy 584 north towards Geraldton. Turn north on 584. Drive through Geraldton and 40 minutes north is Nakina. As you drive into Nakina, you will stop at a stop sign. Go straight one block and turn left on Quebec Street (someone keeps stealing the Quebec Street sign so look for the airport sign and follow). Drive about 2 miles to Cordingley Lake. You will drive past the airport, which has a landing strip. Go to Cordingley Lake where there are multiple floatplane bases.
